The Envelope Project 2021- Ongoing / workshop, lecture performance and film
What is known today as the "Gaza Envelope" in Israeli society was constructed with military-agricultural border settlements on the Gaza border. The Envelope Project dwells at the border by documenting excerpts from the border and the daily life of the Thai agricultural migrant workers from that region. Taking place from 2021 to the current war, the project offers a creative and associative psycho-geographical analysis of the border, using forensic images, landscape and digital media, ranging from concepts of territory, land and soot, traveling from the Israel-Gaza border to the borders between Laos and Thailand, the deep water threshold of the world with the netherworld where tales of the Phaya Naga, the dragon snake, are repeated and readopted for centuries.
